Next to the 3 traditional villas there is a fully restored stone groundflour 19th century building which was used as a home by our ancestors. Alongside it’s cistern, it comprised the “themonia”.
oday the building has been restored with great care and comprises the main hall of the restaurant. It’s interior is perfectly representative of the architectural philoshopy of Ano Meria since there have been preserved the old fireplace, the “parostria” (the kitchen fireplace) and small cubic openings on the wall called “thirides” which had objects like lamps, lanterns etc.
The visitor is given the opportunity to savor, apart from traditional delicacies prepared by the restaurant’s chef, the atmosphere of the traditional “themonia” of the past centuries enjoying simultaneously the boundless beauty of the Aegean Sea. The visitor may also taste drinks and local Cycladic products, like wine from Santorini, local cheeses, graviera cheese from Naxos etc.
